In this article we begin a new project lined up with one of the goals we set at the beginning of this year: to improve my English and qualifying B1.

To obtain this accreditation we are working in a group led by Teacher Cherith Megaw with a time commitment of three hours per week. We will be tested in reading, writing, grammar, listening, and so on. We have six months to train and obtain certification. We know that it is not enough time but we can do some kind of homework for obtain better results. As mentioned earlier in other post, one of the things we can do is write a monthly article in this blog. In fact an article a month may be short and I think it would be better writing one every fortnight. Here is the first one. If you wish, in the comments section you can propose amendments to the text in order to keep improving. So, we start.

In any case, and in my humble opinion, this is a post, not an article 😉

Thank you Mr. Murua, I’ll try.

For you, what is the difference between post and article?

  3. A post is written to be published (and read) in a blog. It is related to the style of the blog.
An article is longer and it has usually other structure, more complex.

A funny story. A couple of years ago, I had to write a summary of a film or a book in an official exam. No problem with this, but I was asked to write it for a blog as well. I mentioned at the bottom of the page I am a blogger, so we could discuss about the appropriate style, hahaha. I think they just wanted to be modern, hahaha. By the way, I passed that part with a good mark.
